Three postgraduate students of the Department of Environmental Science, Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, have brought laurels to the University and the department through their success in competitive examinations.
Two postgraduate students, Tanvi Sharma and Dimple Chaudhary, have qualified the Himachal Pradesh State Eligibility Test (HP SET) 2026. Their success reflects their academic commitment and dedication towards pursuing careers in higher education and research.
Another postgraduate student, Divyansh, has qualified the PhD Entrance Examination of the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Sonipat. He has secured admission to the doctoral programme in Post-Harvest Technology, Bioprocess and Environmental Sciences at NIFTEM. As part of the programme, he will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹37,000, on par with fellowships offered under various national research funding programmes.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. HS Baweja congratulated the successful students and faculty members for their hard work and dedication. He said that such achievements reflected the academic potential of the University’s students and expressed hope that their success would inspire other students to pursue academic excellence and achieve greater milestones in research and higher education. Dr PK Baweja, Head of the Department of Environmental Science and Dr CL Thakur, Dean, College of Forestry also congratulated the three postgraduate students on their remarkable achievements and wished them continued success in their academic and research careers.
