Shimla, August 22: The Himachal Pradesh government has released a list of senior officers scheduled to retire in 2027. According to the notification, eight IAS officers and five heads of departments will superannuate next year.
Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Tribal Development, Transport, Ropeways and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation, Onkar Chand Sharma, is scheduled to retire on February 28, 2027. Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment and Lokayukta, Chandra Prakash Verma, will retire on September 30, 2027.
The list also includes Harbans Singh Brascon, Special Secretary and MD and CEO of Smart City Shimla, who will retire on October 31, 2027, while Special Secretary Dalip Kumar Negi is scheduled to retire on February 28.
Director of Women and Child Development Dr Pankaj Lalit will retire on January 31, 2027. Director of the Revenue Training Institute, Jogindernagar, Satish Kumar Sharma, will retire on August 31, while Director of School Education Ashish Kumar Kohli is scheduled to superannuate on October 31, 2027.
Among the senior department heads, Agriculture Director Ravinder Singh Jasrotia, Horticulture Director Satish Kumar and Chief Engineer of the Jal Shakti Department E Anil Mehta will retire on February 28, 2027. Director of the Sainik Welfare Department Brigadier Madan Sheel Sharma (Retd) will retire on March 31, while PWD Mandi Zone Chief Engineer E Narinder Pal Singh Chauhan is scheduled to retire on May 31, 2027.
The government notification states that all the officers will retire from government service on the afternoon of their respective retirement dates.
