Deputy Commissioner Solan Manmohan Sharma said that everyone’s cooperation is necessary to make Solan district TB free. Manmohan Sharma was presiding over a meeting held with health officials and industry associations yesterday.
Manmohan Sharma said that to make Solan district TB free, it is necessary for health officials and industries to work in coordination so that more and more people can be made aware about TB disease.
The Deputy Commissioner said that industries should get registered as Nikshay Mitra so that TB patients can get nutrition, diagnosis and professional help. He said that by getting the TB test of the employees of industries done and early detection of the disease, treatment can be started at the right time. This will not only help in prevention of TB but will also create a friendly environment at the workplace.
He directed the officials to enhance community outreach through CSR to support TB awareness and prevention.
In the meeting, detailed information was provided about the symptoms, tests and treatment of TB disease.
On this occasion, District TB Officer Dr. Gagandeep Raj Hans, Central TB Division Team’s Dr. Bhavani Singh Kushwaha, National Advisor of Nishchay Mitra Abhiyan Dr. Dharma Rao along with major industries and industrial associations of the district were present.
