Arki, May 15: The Health Department CH Arki organized a comprehensive health awareness programme at Lakshay Institute of Education, Manjyat, in Arki of Solan district, focusing on crucial health and social concerns among students.
The session highlighted the harmful effects of junk food, drug abuse prevention, stress management, and awareness about major diseases including Tuberculosis (TB), HPV, Thalassemia, Ovarian Cancer and Dengue. Officials also educated students on preventive healthcare measures and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Students from Classes 8 to 10 along with B.Ed trainees participated enthusiastically in the programme. Nearly 120 students and 15 teachers attended the awareness session and interacted actively with the health officials.
The institution appreciated the efforts of Mr. Hemender Salaria, MHS CH Arki, and ASHA workers Mrs. Rama Sharma and Mrs. Rajni Sharma for conducting the informative and engaging session.
Principal Dr. Prem Gupta, along with the teaching staff, was present on the occasion and encouraged students to stay away from unhealthy habits and adopt positive lifestyle practices.
The school administration thanked the Health Department for organizing the programme and expressed hope that similar awareness campaigns would continue in future for the welfare of students and society.
