MLA Harish Janartha Honours Winners with Cash Prizes
Shimla, June 11: A vibrant Healthy Baby Competition was organized as part of the ongoing International Shimla Summer Festival 2026, witnessing enthusiastic participation from children and parents across different age groups. The event was attended by Shimla Urban MLA Harish Janartha as the chief guest, who felicitated the winners and extended his best wishes for their bright future.
A total of 216 children were registered online, out of which 123 children participated in the competition.
In the 0–1 year category, Shivanya, daughter of Ankur Bhagata, secured the first position, followed by Viham, son of Ankit Thakur, in second place and Zorawar Singh, son of Inderjeet Singh, in third place.
In the 1–3 year category, Advika, daughter of Swatinam Sharma, won first prize, while Kanika Thakur, daughter of Vikram, and Avyayukt Verma, son of Vikesh Verma, secured second and third positions respectively.
In the 3–5 year category, Agampreet, son of Randeep Singh, claimed the top position. Kairav, son of Vikesh Verma, secured second place, while Siyara Gupta, daughter of Rishav Gupta, finished third.
The winners were awarded cash prizes of ₹25,000, ₹20,000, and ₹15,000 for first, second, and third positions respectively.
The competition was judged on a 100-mark evaluation system, including growth parameters, nutritional status, developmental milestones, vaccination status, physical examination, hygiene, and child interaction.
The judging panel comprised Dr. Poonam Kanwar, Dr. Chandrakanta, Dr. Pavan, Dr. Neelam Pathania, Dr. Madhu Matain, Dr. Sunny Banga, and Dr. Riya.
The organizers thanked all participating children and parents for making the event a grand success and congratulated the winners.
Among those present were Municipal Corporation Councillor Ankush, Additional District Magistrate (Law & Order) Pankaj Sharma, Chief Medical Officer Shimla Dr. Yashpal Ranta, and other dignitaries.
