Players to receive grand welcome on return to Bilaspur: Ishan Akhtar
Himachal Pradesh’s young swimmers put up an impressive performance at the 42nd Sub-Junior National Swimming Championship held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, representing the state across various events.
Himachal Pradesh Swimming Association state general secretary Ishan Akhtar said swimmers Trijal Chauhan, Riddhant Mandhotra, Anvi Sharma and Shivangi Dhiman represented Himachal Pradesh at the national-level championship.
Trijal Chauhan competed in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 50m butterfly stroke events, while Riddhant Mandhotra participated in the 50m breaststroke. Anvi Sharma competed in the 50m freestyle, and Shivangi Dhiman represented the state in the 50m backstroke.
Akhtar said the swimmers displayed determination and put up a strong performance against competitors from across the country. He said the participation of the young athletes at the national championship would provide them valuable exposure and experience for future competitions.
He added that the swimmers would be given a grand welcome at the state office of the Himachal Pradesh Swimming Association in Bilaspur upon their return. Association president Vinay Dhiman congratulated all the players and wished them success in their future competitions.
