Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) has constituted a special war room team for the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections in Mandi. The notification was issued from Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla, with immediate effect following the approval of the HPCC president.
As per the notification, senior party leader Rohit Vats Dhami has been appointed as the incharge of the war room, while Anil Sharma will serve as co-incharge. Vivek Saini has been named convenor.
The party has also appointed Sachin Verma, Gopal Krishan and Balvir Singh as coordinators for the election management team.
The notification was issued by Hari Krishan Himral, General Secretary, HPCC and incharge of the HPCC War Room.
The move is being seen as part of the Congress party’s preparations to strengthen its election strategy ahead of the crucial civic body polls in Mandi.
