Baddi, May 9: IEC University has launched its experiential learning initiative ‘Opportunity 4.0’ aimed at providing students with practical exposure beyond classroom teaching.
As part of the programme, students on May 7 visited the historic Yadavindra Gardens, popularly known as Pinjore Garden. During the visit, students explored the seven-tier Mughal-style gardens and learned about heritage architecture, environmental aesthetics and the importance of teamwork and mutual understanding.
University officials said that educational travel not only helps students gain technical and practical knowledge but also acts as a stress reliever by allowing them to spend time in nature and engage in interactive learning experiences.
Continuing the initiative, students on May 8 visited the manufacturing plant of Eastman Auto & Power Limited in Baddi for an industrial exposure programme. The visit was organised to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world industrial practices.
During the tour, students observed the manufacturing process of lithium-ion batteries and solar energy solutions. Company experts also briefed them on ‘Made in India’ manufacturing practices, quality control systems and the latest technologies being used in the sector.
Students were introduced to industrial automation, coding processes and software applications used in manufacturing operations. The participants said the visit helped them understand how concepts taught in classrooms are implemented on the ground.
University authorities stated that IEC University has consistently focused on the holistic development of students by emphasising practical learning, industrial exposure and skill-based education to prepare them for future careers.
