Hamirpur, February 14
Serious allegations of a job scam have been leveled against the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh. Former MLA Rajendra Rana, accusing the government of cheating the youth, said that talented and hardworking youth kept preparing for the examination day and night, but in the recruitments done in the Assembly Secretariat, only those close to the leaders were given backdoor entry.
Unemployed were neglected, relatives of leaders got jobs
In a statement issued here today, Rajendra Rana said that out of 68 assembly constituencies in the state, people from only three assembly constituencies were adjusted in government jobs. The PA of some leader, the driver of some, and the relative of some leader easily got government jobs, while common unemployed youth just kept watching.
He said that after the Congress government came to power, the Service Selection Board located in Hamirpur was closed. The interview results of the youth were withheld, due to which the unemployed had to come out on the streets and even go on hunger strike. He said that if there was any irregularity among the Indians, then the guilty officers and employees should have been punished, but the Sukhu government here had shut down the institution that provides employment.
Allegations of irregularities in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat and State Co-operative Bank
Rajendra Rana said that the appointments made in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat are being discussed from social media to newspapers. He claimed that the recruitment of 250 people in the State Co-operative Bank is also in discussion. The Chief Minister ordered a vigilance inquiry after a complaint by a Congress official. Is this vigilance inquiry to show to the people? This proves that the government is engaged in protecting corruption.
Treasury closed for three months, contractors’ payment stopped
He said that this is happening for the first time in the history of the state that the treasury is closed for three months, due to which the contractors’ payment is stopped and development work has come to a standstill.
Rajendra Rana warned that Congress’s two and a quarter years of misrule will lead to its downfall in Himachal. He said that just like Congress lost its deposit in 67 out of 70 seats in the Delhi assembly elections, the same situation will happen in Himachal now.
He quipped that the government in the state is not of the people but of some special friends, while the common people have been pushed to the margins.
