The JUIT Youth Club (JYC) Literary and Debating Club celebrated Hindi Diwas with a series of engaging activities, providing students with a platform to showcase their debating skills and creative talents.
The celebrations were held in two sessions, beginning with a debate in the morning. Around 40 students participated actively, presenting their views and demonstrating their oratory and debating skills. The session was attended by Anusha Garg, President of the Students’ Union, JUIT, TEDx speaker and a student of Lady Shri Ram College (LSR), as the guest.
The evening session featured an Open Mic, which brought together around 20 students for an evening of poetry, literature, music and performances. Students presented their original and favourite works through poetry recitations, literary pieces, songs and guitar performances, creating a lively and diverse atmosphere.
The session was graced by Suraj Khanan and Kritika Sharma as guests. Towards the end of the programme, Khanan also presented some of his own literature and poetry, adding a special touch to the evening.
The celebration concluded on a positive note, highlighting the richness of Hindi while encouraging students to express themselves through debate, literature, poetry and music. The event also reflected JUIT’s efforts to nurture creativity, communication skills and cultural expression among students.
