Solan, September 25, 2026: LR Institute of Pharmacy organised Pharmacy Week from September 15 to 25, featuring a series of academic, creative and awareness-based activities aimed at promoting students’ knowledge, creativity, scientific thinking and social responsibility.
The week-long programme included Poster Presentation, Sci-Toon Activity, Leaflet Competition, Panel Discussion, Pharma Quiz, Nukkad Natak, Reel Making Competition and an Awareness Rally. Students participated enthusiastically in the activities and showcased their knowledge, creativity and communication skills.
The Nukkad Natak and Awareness Rally focused on creating awareness among the public about important health and pharmacy-related issues. The Pharma Quiz, Panel Discussion and Sci-Toon activities, meanwhile, provided students with opportunities to strengthen their subject knowledge and develop scientific thinking.
The celebrations culminated in the observance of World Pharmacist Day on September 25, with the contributions and participation of students being appreciated by the institute.
The programme was attended by Dr Akshay Garg, Department of Psychiatry, Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan; Dr Sandeep, Department of Orthopaedics, Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan; Dr Ashok Sharma, Associate Professor, ICFAI University, Baddi; and Ms Ranjana, Clinical Pharmacist, Primary Health Centre, Nauni, who were the chief guests.
The guests interacted with the students, guided them and encouraged them to continue developing their professional knowledge and skills while contributing to society.
LR Group of Institutes MD Dr Shachi Singh, Dean of Academics Prof P. P. Sharma and Principal of Pharmacy Prof Avneet Gupta congratulated the students, chief guests and faculty members involved in the successful conduct of Pharmacy Week.
They encouraged students to pursue knowledge and innovation while remaining committed to social responsibility and public health.
The Pharmacy Week provided students with a platform to learn, express themselves, explore creativity and strengthen their understanding of the role of pharmacy in society.
