A dignified programme dedicated to literature, education and social responsibility was organised at , where a literary analysis book authored by Chancellor Nominee and senior academician Suresh Gupta was formally unveiled.
The book is based on the literary analysis of the widely discussed poetry collection “Ateet Ke Gahne” written by noted litterateur . The foreword of the book has been written by Advocate Tanuj Goyal.
During the event, Chancellor Nominee Suresh Gupta, Registrar Dr Pankaj Nangalia and Chief Legal Advisor Advocate Tanuj Goyal warmly welcomed Dr Mangla at the university campus by presenting him with a traditional Himachali cap and stole as a mark of honour.
The programme witnessed meaningful discussions on literature, education and social commitment. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajesh Kumar Mangla congratulated Suresh Gupta for his significant contribution to literature and academics. He said Gupta’s literary vision and educational outlook are inspirational for society and the younger generation. He also appreciated the university’s efforts towards promoting social values and environmental awareness alongside quality education.
Addressing the gathering, Suresh Gupta said his interests extend beyond literature and include practical issues related to society and nature. He revealed that his upcoming book will focus on contemporary subjects such as flood management, traffic management, water levels and waste management.
“I come from an ordinary family. When society gives us so much, it becomes our responsibility to contribute positively in return,” Gupta said.
Highlighting the university’s commitment towards meritorious students, he said the institution offers 100 per cent fee waiver to students securing 95 per cent marks in Class 12 examinations. The scholarship facility is available across engineering, pharmacy, management, commerce, arts, science and several undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.
Speaking about the blend of Indian culture and modern education, Gupta said the university is making special arrangements for potable drinking water facilities on campus and creating awareness among students regarding its health benefits.
He further stated that the university is actively promoting environmental conservation by encouraging students to install artificial nests for birds within the campus to develop sensitivity towards nature and wildlife.
At the conclusion of the event, participants praised the literary, educational, social and environmental initiatives being undertaken under the guidance of Suresh Gupta and described him as a source of inspiration for society.
