Shimla, May 22: BJP State Media Co-Incharge Karn Nanda on Friday said that despite global wars, sanctions, oil crises and international instability, India has successfully safeguarded its energy security under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Karn Nanda said that the Modi government’s long-term vision and strategic foreign policy have helped India tackle difficult global circumstances with confidence. He stated that India has strengthened its position in the global energy market by securing crude oil supplies at affordable rates from countries such as Russia, the UAE and Venezuela.
He said that when tensions escalated in West Asia and pressure increased around the Strait of Hormuz, India quickly shifted towards alternative energy sources instead of panicking. According to him, Venezuela emerging as India’s third-largest oil supplier reflects the Centre’s strategic planning and preparedness for future challenges.
Nanda claimed that the Modi government has diversified oil import sources to protect India’s economy and energy needs from global disruptions. He also alleged that during the Congress regime, India appeared weak before international pressure, whereas today the country is taking independent and strong decisions while keeping national interests above everything else.
He further said that while several countries are struggling with inflation and energy shortages, India has managed to maintain relative stability due to the Centre’s policies. According to him, Prime Minister Modi’s long-term planning has helped shield common citizens from the severe impact of rising fuel prices and inflation.
Karn Nanda said the Modi government has proved that along with a strong economy, strong diplomacy and strategic thinking are equally important in today’s world, adding that India is moving forward confidently on the global stage.
