Shimla: The National Health Mission (NHM), Himachal Pradesh, has issued an official order revising the salaries of employees working on an outsourced basis, with the new pay structure set to take effect from September 1, 2026.
According to the order issued by the Mission Director on August 20, staff nurses, pharmacists, laboratory technicians and operation theatre assistants will now receive a monthly salary of ₹25,000. Data entry operators will be paid ₹18,000 per month.
The decision was taken following approval from the Governing Body of the State Health and Family Welfare Society (SH&FWS) and clearance from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the Record of Proceedings (RoP) for the financial year 2026-27.
The revised salaries will apply to outsourced employees working under the National Health Mission across Himachal Pradesh.
The move follows Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s announcement during the Independence Day celebrations regarding a salary hike for outsourced NHM staff nurses and paramedical employees. The latest office order has now formally implemented the announcement.
Revised monthly salaries:
– Staff Nurse — ₹25,000
– Pharmacist — ₹25,000
– Laboratory Technician — ₹25,000
– Operation Theatre Assistant — ₹25,000
– Data Entry Operator — ₹18,000
