Shimla, Aug. 3: Residents of several areas in Shimla will face a scheduled power outage for three consecutive days from August 4 to August 6, as the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) undertakes infrastructure upgradation work under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
According to HPSEBL, electricity supply to Chungi Khana, Kashyap Niwas, Morning View, Pitoriya Villa, Chitkara Park, Adda Villa and adjoining localities will remain suspended from 10 am to 5 pm on all three days. The shutdown has been approved to facilitate the laying and energisation of an 11 kV HT AB Cable (95 mm²) between Lower Kaithu and Chungi Khana.
The electricity board said the work will be carried out only if weather conditions remain favourable and appealed to consumers to cooperate, while expressing regret for the inconvenience caused.
