Shimla, May 16: Weather conditions in Himachal Pradesh have changed once again, with the Meteorological Department predicting rain and cloudy skies in several parts of the state over the next two days. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in many mid and high hill districts till May 17, bringing temporary relief from rising temperatures.
According to weather officials, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds may also occur in isolated areas, prompting authorities to advise caution, especially in hilly and vulnerable regions. The recent spell of rain has kept temperatures below normal in many districts and created pleasant weather conditions across the state.
However, meteorologists have warned that the relief will be short-lived, as bright sunshine and increasing temperatures are likely to return after May 17. Several areas are expected to witness hot and dry conditions once the weather clears.
The changing weather pattern has also raised concerns among farmers and orchardists due to fluctuating temperatures and the possibility of crop damage caused by untimely rain and storms.
