In a proud moment for Himachal Pradesh and the sporting community, Sukhman Kaur, daughter of Mr. Virender Singh, Deputy Director, Operations, at Shoolini University, has been selected to represent the state in the prestigious Junior National Basketball Championship (U-18), scheduled to be held in Pondicherry.
A Class XI student of Pinegrove School, Dharampur, Sukhman has earned recognition for her exceptional talent, dedication, and consistent performance on the basketball court. Her selection for the national championship highlights the growing presence of young sporting talent emerging from Himachal Pradesh.
Before participating in the championship, Sukhman will attend an intensive training camp organised by the Sarkaghat Sports Academy, Himachal Pradesh, where selected players will undergo professional coaching and preparation for the national-level competition.
Her achievement has brought pride not only to her family and school but also to the wider sports fraternity of the state. Sports enthusiasts and educators have lauded her commitment and hard work, describing her journey as an inspiration for aspiring young athletes across the region.
Expressing his happiness over the achievement, Mr. Virender Singh said that discipline, perseverance, and continuous support from coaches and family members played a significant role in Sukhman’s success.
