In Himachal Pradesh, a new update has come to light in the famous Sanjauli Masjid dispute, which brought two communities face to face. The work of demolishing the illegal construction of Sanjauli Mosque in the capital Shimla, citing lack of funds, has started once again. Earlier, the work of breaking illegal construction was stopped for a long time. But now it has been started once again.
A hearing is to be held in the Municipal Commissioner Court on March 15 in the case of breaking the mosque located in Sanjauli.
The work of breaking the roof is now going on in the illegal floor of Sanjauli Mosque. This sabotage is being done by the Masjid Committee. It is being told that this work of breaking the illegal part of the mosque has been resumed three days ago on March 4. After the completion of the work of breaking the fourth floor pillars and third floor walls, now the fourth floor layer is being broken.
There were demonstrations on illegal construction in Sanjauli Mosque
Please tell that there were a lot of demonstrations in the Sanjauli Mosque of Shimla regarding illegal construction. After which the Municipal Commissioner Court had ordered the three floors above the Sanjauli Mosque to be demolished in two months during the hearing on the case. But even after five months, this illegal construction has not been demolished yet. With which the Masjid Committee is repeatedly stopping the work by saying that there is no funds.
Warning of big movement was given
In fact, recently, Civil Society Sanjauli met the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and gave him an ultimatum to implement the court’s decision and demolish illegal construction in the next 15 days. The civil society had said two-tuk that if illegal construction is not demolished by this period, a big movement would be waged.
Please tell that the Sanjauli Masjid dispute came to light after beating the youth in Matiana, Shimla. After brutally beating the Hindu youth in Matiana, his accused youths hid in the Sanjauli Mosque. Those who were arrested by the police from the mosque. After that the matter was quite hot and Hindu organizations raised the matter of illegal construction of Sanjauli Mosque.
For which he demonstrated continuously and raised the demand to demolish the illegal part of the mosque. After which on October 5, the Municipal Corporation Commissioner Court approved breaking three floors of the mosque. The court had ordered the Masjid Committee to break the illegal part at its expense.
This claim was also made about the land of the mosque
The Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti claimed that the land on which the mosque has been built. In the revenue records, that land is not of Waqf Board but of the State Government. The Sanjauli Mosque Committee has not even submitted a map about the construction of the building of the mosque. However, the committee claims that this land belongs to the board. The committee claims that the map which was submitted by the Sanjauli Mosque Committee in 2010 was rejected by the then commissioner. After this no map has been submitted.
