Shimla June 2
A delegation of the Shimla Urban Congress, led by its president Inderjeet Singh, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday regarding the alleged irregularities and paper leak in the NEET examination.
The memorandum, addressed to the President of India and the Government of India through the Deputy Commissioner, demanded a fair, transparent, and impartial investigation into the matter. The delegation urged the authorities to ensure strict action against those found guilty.
Speaking on the occasion, Inderjeet Singh said that the future of lakhs of students is linked to examinations like NEET and that any compromise in the examination process weakens public trust in the education system.
“The alleged irregularities in the NEET examination have raised serious concerns among students and parents across the country. A transparent probe and exemplary action against the culprits are necessary to restore confidence in the examination system,” he said.
He further stated that the Congress Party remains committed to protecting students’ interests and ensuring transparency and accountability in the education sector.
The delegation emphasized that maintaining the credibility of competitive examinations is essential and called upon the government to take concrete steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
