Chief Minister Sukhu to inaugurate three-day Maa Shoolini Fair; Governor Kavinder Gupta to attend concluding day celebrations.

The stage is set for the grand celebration of Maa Shoolini Fair 2026, one of Himachal Pradesh’s most revered cultural and religious festivals, which will be held in Solan from June 26 to June 28 with a vibrant mix of traditional rituals, sports competitions, folk performances and musical evenings.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will grace the opening day as the chief guest on June 26. The festivities will begin with the worship of Maa Shoolini, followed by the ceremonial welcome of the deity’s palanquin at Kathari Chowk and a grand procession through the town. The evening will feature cultural performances by local artists and renowned singers.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Col. Dhani Ram Shandil will be the chief guest on June 27. Traditional games, folk dances, wrestling bouts and cultural programs will form the highlight of the second day, showcasing the rich heritage of the region.
The fair will conclude on June 28 in the presence of Governor Kavinder Gupta, who will attend the closing ceremony. The final day will feature a baby show, dog show, wrestling competitions and a star-studded cultural night featuring popular artists.
The annual fair is considered the cultural heartbeat of Solan, attracting thousands of devotees, tourists and culture enthusiasts from across Himachal Pradesh and neighbouring states. Organisers expect a massive turnout for this year’s celebrations, which aim to promote the region’s traditions while providing a platform for local talent.
