Rampur, May 20: Marking the 39th Foundation Day of SJVN Limited, the Rampur Hydro Power Station (HPS) organised a mini marathon at Dattnagar in Rampur on Tuesday morning.
The event commenced at 6 am from Dattnagar Ground and followed a designated route up to Koyal Road before returning to the starting point. Officers, employees and their family members participated enthusiastically in the marathon.
The competition was organised across different age groups and categories, including separate segments for men, women and children. Participants took part with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
Project Head of Rampur HPS, Vikas Marwah, said that sports and physical activities are essential for adopting a healthy lifestyle and such events help promote health awareness and collective participation among employees and their families.
The marathon was flagged off by B. P. Singh, Chief General Manager (Procurement and Contracts). Department heads, officers and employees of Rampur HPS were also present on the occasion.
The project management ensured necessary arrangements for the convenience and safety of participants along the route.
At the conclusion of the event, winners securing first, second and third positions in various categories were honoured and awarded prizes by B. P. Singh. Consolation prizes were also distributed among other participants. He appreciated the enthusiasm and discipline displayed by the participants and encouraged them to continue participating actively in such events in future.
