Rakshita Thakur, a talented Class 6 student from Auckland House School, made her school and district proud by winning a Gold Medal at the State Karate Championship held at Baijnath, Kangra on May 16 and 17, 2026.
The championship was organised by the Karate Association of Himachal Pradesh and witnessed participation from around 300 players representing all 12 districts of the state.
Displaying exceptional skill, confidence, and determination at such a young age, Rakshita delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament. Her remarkable achievement has also earned her selection for the National Karate Championship, where she will represent Himachal Pradesh.
The achievement has been widely appreciated by the school management, teachers, and fellow students, who congratulated Rakshita and wished her great success at the national level.
