While the entire world was bidding farewell to the outgoing year and celebrating the arrival of the New Year, a tragic incident in Solan turned joy into mourning. A 27-year-old youth, Sudama Bhagat, who had come to Himachal Pradesh from Chhattisgarh in search of employment, lost his life after falling from a multi-storey building. The incident, which occurred on New Year’s Eve, has inflicted an irreparable wound on the victim’s family.
According to available information, the unfortunate incident took place in the bypass area of Solan at the building housing Hotel One Stop Shop. It is reported that Sudama Bhagat was present on the fourth floor of the building when he suddenly fell down. He sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. Soon after the incident, a crowd gathered at the site and the police were informed.
Upon receiving the information, a team from Solan Police reached the spot and inspected the scene. The body was taken into custody and further legal proceedings were initiated. The post-mortem examination of the deceased is being conducted today, after which the body will be handed over to the family. At present, the police are thoroughly investigating whether the fall was a mere accident, the result of negligence, or caused by some other factor.
Meanwhile, the death of a young man who had left his home in search of livelihood has brought immense grief upon his family. The incident, occurring just before the arrival of the New Year, has cast a pall of gloom over the entire area. The police are examining all aspects of the case to ascertain the actual cause of the tragedy.
