A home guard jawan posted in the vigilance department died due to electrocution. The said accident occurred in the New Shimla police station area on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Ravinder (50), son of Fakir Chand, resident of village Kathin, tehsil Kumarsain.
Shimla: A home guard jawan posted in the vigilance department died due to electrocution. The said accident occurred in the New Shimla police station area on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Ravinder (50), son of Fakir Chand, resident of village Kathin, tehsil Kumarsain. It has been told that Ravinder became a victim of the accident in his government quarter.
According to the information, Ravinder was alone in his quarter and was using a heater to cook food. Initial investigation has revealed that while cooking food, he got electrocuted by the heater, due to which he died on the spot.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the investigation officer and forensic team of the New Shimla police station reached the spot. The team inspected the spot and collected evidence. Police say that the real cause of death will be revealed only after the postmortem report comes. On the other hand, Ravinder’s death has caused grief not only among his family but also among his colleagues. Departmental officials are calling this accident an unfortunate incident.
