Giving information, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (Panchayat) Mukesh Repaswal said that under the Panchayati Raj General Elections-2026, a total of 201283 women are included in the voter list in Chamba district.
Mukesh Repaswal also stated that a total of 4,07,853 voters will exercise their franchise in the district’s seven development blocks, of which 2,06,570 are male voters.
While giving information about women voters block wise, he said that 16987 women are registered in the voter list in Bharmour development block, 46925 in Bhatiyat, 31137 in Chamba, 34489 in Mahla, 7633 in Pangi, 32746 in Saluni and 31366 women in Teesa development block.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that in Bharmour development block, out of a total of 36183 voters, 19196 are male voters. Similarly, in Bhatiyat development block, out of a total of 94111 voters, 47186 are male, in Chamba out of a total of 62594 voters, 31457 are male, in Mehla out of a total of 70040 voters, 35551 are male, in Pangi out of a total of 15756 voters, 32756 are male, in Saluni out of a total of 65502 voters and in Teesa development block, 32301 are male voters out of a total of 63667 voters.
Mukesh Repaswal has called on all women voters in the district to actively participate in this grand festival of democracy and exercise their right to vote. He has also appealed to women to motivate their families, neighbors, and others to vote, ensuring maximum participation in the democratic process.
