Shimla: Four students of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Mashobra, brought laurels to Himachal Pradesh with impressive performances at the recently concluded National Rugby Championship held in Hyderabad.
Aryan Kavar served as vice-captain of the Himachal Pradesh boys’ team, while Payal Verma, Aditya Verma and Dhairya Chauhan also represented the state and delivered strong performances at the national-level tournament.
The players received a warm welcome on their return to the school and were felicitated by the school administration for their achievement.
Congratulating the students, Principal Banwari Lal Keshav, DPE Mohan Lal Sharma and PET Nand Lal Sharma said dedication, discipline and hard work are the keys to success in sports. They encouraged students to continue competing at the national level and pursue careers in athletics.
PET Nand Lal Sharma also thanked Himachal Pradesh Rugby Association president Dr Vikas Sood, general secretary Vishal Sareen, treasurer Sudhir Rajput and the coaching staff for their support in nurturing young talent and providing players with opportunities to compete at the national level.
