Bilaspur, June 15, 2026: In a significant move aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery and ensuring timely medical services, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur is set to recruit 41 Junior Resident (Non-Academic) doctors. The appointments will include 39 MBBS doctors and 2 BDS (Dentistry) doctors, providing a major boost to the institute’s healthcare infrastructure and patient care services.
AIIMS Bilaspur caters to a large number of patients not only from various districts of Himachal Pradesh but also from neighboring states. With its advanced medical facilities and specialized treatment options, the institute has become a preferred destination for patients suffering from serious and complex illnesses.
Considering the increasing patient load, the recruitment of additional Junior Resident doctors is being viewed as an important step toward expanding and strengthening healthcare services. The new appointments are expected to improve the efficiency of outpatient departments (OPDs), emergency services, and inpatient wards across various medical specialties.
Junior Resident doctors play a crucial role in the day-to-day functioning of hospitals. Their responsibilities include initial patient assessment, monitoring treatment progress, reviewing diagnostic reports, and providing care to admitted patients. The increased availability of doctors will help reduce waiting times and ensure quicker medical attention, particularly in emergency situations where timely intervention can be critical.
The recruitment is also expected to ease the workload of senior and specialist doctors, enabling them to focus more effectively on complex and critical cases. This will contribute to improved treatment outcomes and enhanced patient care.
Additionally, the appointment of two BDS Junior Resident doctors will strengthen the Dentistry Department, allowing the institute to provide better oral healthcare services and support the growing number of dental patients.
According to the AIIMS Bilaspur administration, the addition of 41 Junior Resident doctors represents a major step in strengthening the institution’s healthcare delivery system. The move is expected to enhance the quality of medical services, improve patient monitoring, and accelerate treatment processes.
Hospital authorities believe that these appointments will further elevate the standard of healthcare at AIIMS Bilaspur and contribute significantly to the expansion of advanced medical services in Himachal Pradesh.
