Shimla/Reckong Peo: The Amar Ujala Bhavishya Jyoti Samman Samaroh 2026, powered by Bahra University, concluded successfully with grand ceremonies in Kinnaur and Shimla, recognising academic excellence and honouring meritorious students from across Himachal Pradesh.
The Kinnaur edition of the programme was held on June 6 at Hotel Silk Route, Reckong Peo, where Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur Amit Kumar Sharma attended as the chief guest. The event was also attended by the Deputy Director of Education and the Principal of DIET Kinnaur. More than 590 students participated, with district toppers and high achievers being felicitated for their outstanding academic performance.
The Shimla edition took place at the HPU Auditorium and was graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shimla Sachin Sharma as the chief guest. The programme was attended by the Deputy Director, Prarambhik Shiksha, Shimla, and saw participation from over 600 students and parents.
Speaking at both events, Anurag Avasthi, Director Students’ Welfare at Bahra University and a noted motivational speaker, encouraged students to pursue their goals with dedication, discipline and a commitment to nation-building. He said the youth of Himachal Pradesh possess the talent and potential to excel at national and international levels.
The ceremonies celebrated the achievements of young scholars and underscored the shared commitment of Amar Ujala and Bahra University towards promoting academic excellence and motivating students to strive for higher goals.
Organisers said the enthusiastic response from students, parents and educators reflected the strong academic culture of Himachal Pradesh and highlighted the importance of recognising young achievers who are shaping the future of the country.
