BJP-supported candidates emerged dominant in the Theog Municipal Council elections by securing four out of seven seats, while the Congress managed to win three seats.
The results reflected a closely contested electoral battle in the civic body, with BJP-backed candidates gaining a slight advantage over their Congress rivals.
Celebrations erupted among BJP workers after the results, with party leaders terming the outcome a positive sign ahead of upcoming local body and panchayat elections.
Congress candidates also put up a strong performance by winning three wards, indicating a competitive political atmosphere in the region.
