BJP-backed Pradhans and Up-Pradhans win in 75% of Panchayats, Congress wiped out from every village
Public referendum against Congress’s anti-women, anti-farmer and anti-development policies: BJP

BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that in the first phase of the Panchayat Raj elections in Himachal Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party-supported candidates have achieved a historic and landslide victory. He said that voting concluded in 1293 Panchayats of the state on May 26 and according to reports received till late night, BJP-supported Pradhan and Deputy Pradhan candidates registered a resounding victory in about 75 percent of the Panchayats.
Dr. Bindal said that these results clearly indicate that the people of the state are completely disappointed and angry with the Congress government’s anti-people policies, false promises, and failed governance. He said that this result of the first phase of the Panchayat elections is a clear public mandate and referendum against the Congress government.
He said that before coming to power, the Congress government had made lofty promises to women, youth, farmers, employees, and the general public, but in its two and a half years in office, the people of the state received only deception, inflation, unemployment, and economic crisis. The promise of monthly financial assistance to women remains unfulfilled, announcements of employment for youth remained confined to paper and platforms, and only announcements were made in the name of providing relief to farmers and orchardists.
The BJP state president said that the state’s youth are suffering from unemployment, farmers and gardeners are struggling for fair prices for their produce, and the general public is suffering from rising prices for electricity, water, and other basic amenities. The Congress government has completely stalled development work, focusing solely on political patronage and favoring its favorites.
Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the Panchayat elections saw widespread public anger against the Congress party in every village. Many prominent Congress leaders and political heavyweights in the state faced crushing defeats in their constituencies. He said that the public has completely rejected the Congress party’s arrogance and failed policies.
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has always prioritized the interests of villages, the poor, farmers, women, and youth. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government is continuously providing unprecedented assistance to Himachal Pradesh in the areas of development projects, roads, health, education, rail, and rural development, the benefits of which are reaching the people of the state.
Dr. Bindal said that the Panchayat election results also prove that the people of the state continue to express their faith in the BJP’s policies, the strength of its organization, and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that in the coming times, the people of the state will respond to the Congress government at every level, and the BJP will once again hoist its flag in Himachal Pradesh.
While congratulating all the victorious BJP supported Pradhans, Deputy Pradhans and Panchayat representatives, he said that this victory is not only of BJP but of the people of the state, who have expressed faith in the politics of development, transparency and public interest.
