Himachal Pradesh has another reason to celebrate as Dr Archana Thakur has been appointed as a Non-Official Independent Director on the Board of Directors of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).
The appointment was approved by the ONGC Board pursuant to a letter issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, dated August 12, 2026, bearing reference number CA-31033/1/2026-CA-PNG (55708).
The appointment was communicated through an official disclosure issued by ONGC Company Secretary and Compliance Officer Shashi Bhushan Singh.
Dr Thakur’s appointment to the board of one of India’s leading public sector energy companies is being seen as a significant recognition of her professional experience, qualifications and contribution.
