A workshop titled ‘Funding and Networking Meet for Women Entrepreneurs’ was organised at the Block Development Office in Kunihar under the Social Inclusion Intervention component of the Promoting and Accelerating Performance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (RAMP) project.
The programme focused on making women entrepreneurs aware of the financial and institutional support available for starting, developing and expanding their businesses. Participants were provided detailed information on funding sources, banking facilities, government schemes, enterprise development, networking opportunities and entrepreneurship promotion.
Representatives of DIC Solan, SBI Bank, NRLM and UCO RSETI briefed the participants about various financial assistance schemes, training programmes and institutional support available to women entrepreneurs.
Women entrepreneur Rita Devi shared her experiences and spoke about the practical challenges and opportunities involved in running a business. Social worker Kaushalya also highlighted various opportunities for women in the areas of empowerment and entrepreneurship.
An interactive session was held during the workshop, allowing participants to raise questions related to financial assistance, banking facilities, government schemes, business expansion and other entrepreneurship-related issues. Experts addressed their concerns and offered practical guidance.
Block Development Officer, Kunihar, Tanmay Kanwar, along with Vinay Verma, Vinod, Madan Gopal, Anil, Kiran, Mission Executive Amit Gautam and around 80 women entrepreneurs, participated in the programme.
