Shimla/New Delhi, August 27
The President of India has appointed Chirag Bhanu Singh as a Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Justice.
The notification, issued on August 27, 2026, also announced the appointment of Bhupesh Sharma and Yogesh Jaswal as Additional Judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court for a period of two years.Chirag Bhanu Singh will assume office as a Judge of the High Court with effect from the date he takes charge. Bhupesh Sharma and Yogesh Jaswal will serve as Additional Judges for two years from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.
The appointments were made by the President in exercise of the powers conferred under Article 217(1) and Article 224 of the Constitution of India.The notification has been issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, through the Department of Justice.
