Shimla
A Spokesperson of the state government said here today that the government has developed a new online digital platform to modernize and digitize the entire process of the Mukhya Mantri Sahara Yojana, from making an application to payment. The platform would enable applicants to receive the benefits of the scheme online through a single-window system, saving both time and money.
He said that so far, 1,562 applications have been received by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment through the online platform.
The Spokesperson urged interested applicants, including those whose applications are pending, to apply through the online platform https://himparivar.hp.gov.in/ekalyan or through the nearest Lok Mitra Kendra. Anganwadi workers would provide necessary assistance in identifying and verifying beneficiaries and completing the required formalities.
Applicants or beneficiaries whose applications had earlier been kept pending by the Himachal Pradesh National Health Insurance Society will also have to apply afresh to receive financial assistance.
The Spokesperson said that the scheme aims to provide financial assistance to economically weaker sections of society who are suffering from serious and long-term illnesses and require prolonged treatment.
Patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease, malignant cancer, paralysis with permanent disability, long-term illnesses or conditions requiring prolonged treatment or confinement to bed, muscular dystrophy, haemophilia, thalassaemia, acute or chronic kidney failure, substance addiction and other serious illnesses that have made a person permanently unable to work, will be eligible for financial assistance under the Mukhya Mantri Sahara Yojana.
The spokesperson further said that the state government has released financial assistance for the period from April to June, 2026 to 3,813 eligible, Aadhaar-verified and active beneficiaries under the scheme.
He said that financial assistance has not been released to 91 beneficiaries because they have not completed their e-KYC verification. Once they complete their e-KYC verification, the concerned District Welfare Officer will release the assistance amount to them.
He said that for detailed information about the scheme, applicants or their attendants may also contact the concerned District Welfare Officer or Tehsil Welfare Officer.
