Himachal Pradesh chef Nand Lal Sharma has been selected for the prestigious King Chef Award 2026, recognising his contribution to gastronomy and the promotion of culinary excellence.
The award will be presented during the 23rd edition of Khadhya Khurak 2026, an international food processing and hospitality exhibition scheduled to be held from December 16 to 19 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
According to event manager, the award ceremony will take place on December 17 from 10 am to noon at the Helipad Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar. Sharma will be honoured under the initiative of the International Forum of Chefs, which promotes global gastronomy and culinary excellence.
The event is being organised by Khimashia Associates Global and will bring together participants from the food, hospitality and culinary sectors. The exhibition is expected to feature international representation, with chefs and food-industry stakeholders from several countries.
The organisers have described the King Chef Awards as an initiative aimed at recognising culinary talent and celebrating the contribution of chefs to the global food industry.
For Himachal Pradesh, Sharma’s recognition adds another achievement to the state’s growing presence on the national and international culinary platform.
