Shimla, July 6: The Himachal Pradesh government on Monday ordered a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and posting 16 Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) officers with immediate effect in the public interest. The orders were issued by the Department of Personnel (Appointment-IV).
Among the key changes, Ashwani Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA), Kullu, has been posted as Project Officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP), Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti. Ekta Kapta, Commissioner of the Solan Municipal Corporation, has been appointed Additional Director in the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Shimla.
Surjeet Singh, Secretary, State Election Commission, has been posted as Additional District Magistrate (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA), Kullu, while Siddhartha Acharya, Registrar of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, has been appointed Executive Director of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC).
In another significant move, Sunny Sharma, General Manager, HPMC, has been posted as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Kupvi, while Chet Singh has been appointed Secretary of the State Transport Authority. Gaurav Chaudhary has been transferred from SDM Ghumarwin to Additional Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Kangra at Dharamshala.
The reshuffle also includes the transfer of Vishrut Bharati from Fatehpur to Kafota, Raman Kumar Sharma from Kafota to Fatehpur, Abhishek Barwal from Kotkhai to Ghumarwin, Pooja Adhikari as SDM Nagrota Bagwan, and Aman Kumar as General Manager of the Himachal Pradesh Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (HPMC).
The government said the transfers take effect immediately, with separate posting orders to be issued for some officers whose positions have fallen vacant.
