Solan: LR B.Ed. Institute, Solan, organised a grand farewell ceremony for its final-year B.Ed. trainees under the theme ‘Rukhsat-e-Safar’, celebrating their academic journey with cultural performances, awards, and heartfelt messages for the future.
The programme was inaugurated by the Principal of the B.Ed. Department, Dr Nisha Sharma, who lit the ceremonial lamp and offered floral tributes to Goddess Saraswati. The event featured a vibrant cultural programme presented by the trainees, including Bollywood, Punjabi, Kinnauri, and traditional Pahari Nati dance performances, which captivated the audience.
Students who excelled in academics and co-curricular activities throughout the year were honoured with medals and trophies in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
A special highlight of the event was the farewell ramp walk for the aspiring teachers. Nitin was crowned Mr Farewell, while Prakriti won the title of Miss Farewell. Vishal received the Mr Personality title, and Ritu Thakur was named Miss Personality.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Nisha Sharma encouraged the trainees to remain confident, self-reliant, and dedicated to their goals. She urged them never to lose hope in the face of challenges and emphasised that hard work and perseverance are the true keys to success.
Concluding the ceremony, Dr Sharma extended her best wishes to the graduating trainees for a bright and successful future. She inspired them to uphold integrity, sincerity, and a strong sense of responsibility as they embark on their professional journey as educators.
The event was attended by all faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students of the B.Ed. department.
