Baddi, Himachal Pradesh: Students and faculty members of the Pharmacy Department at IEC University have developed an Ayurvedic formulation named “Sandhi Sukha Oil”, aimed at providing relief from joint pain, arthritis, and muscle stiffness.
The oil was formulated after six months of intensive research and development by the university’s Pharmacy Department. The project focused on creating a natural and effective solution for chronic joint pain, arthritis-related discomfort, and reduced joint mobility.
According to the university, the product has shown encouraging results during its clinical trial phase. Patients undergoing physiotherapy treatment reported significant pain reduction and improved joint movement when the oil was used alongside physiotherapy sessions.
To make the treatment accessible to the public, IEC University has made Sandhi Sukha Oil available free of cost through its Physiotherapy Department. Individuals suffering from joint pain, back pain, knee-related problems, arthritis, and similar conditions are invited to visit the university and consult physiotherapy experts for guidance and treatment.
A university spokesperson said that the initiative reflects the collaborative efforts of the Pharmacy and Physiotherapy Departments in combining traditional knowledge, scientific research, and patient care to deliver practical healthcare solutions.
The university stated that it remains committed to developing innovative products and community-focused healthcare initiatives through its various academic and health science departments, with the goal of benefiting society and local communities.
