Shimla, May 29
A man allegedly died by suicide at Hari Om Bhawan in Bhattakufar under the jurisdiction of Dhalli Police Station in Shimla.
According to officials, the police team rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident and initiated necessary legal proceedings.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was living with his wife and one-year-old child. At the time of the incident, his wife and child had reportedly gone out for some work. Upon returning home, they found him hanging and informed the police.
The police inspected the scene and collected necessary evidence. The body was shifted to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, for post-mortem examination. After the completion of formalities, the body will be handed over to the family for the last rites.
Police said no suspicion has been raised by any family member during the initial inquiry. The cause of death and other circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated, and proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) are underway.
