Mega Yoga events organised by Shoolini University on International Yoga Day

The 8th International Day of Yoga was celebrated by organising special yoga camps in the state.

Mr.Anurag Thakur, Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, and Information and Broadcasting, was the chief guest at Katoch Fort Sujanpur Palace in Hamirpur for the first mega event.

The other events were organised at Nauni University, Milkha Singh Stadium at Shoolini University Campus, Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB), Solan, the Indian Association of Muscular Dystrophy, Jatoli and Mohan Shakti National Heritage Park. All these six places hold various yoga demonstrations and create awareness of yoga and its benefits.

The Ayush Ministry, Government of India had allotted Katoch fort Sujanpur Palace, Hamirpur to Shoolini University to coordinate the yoga session there, and Mr. Anurag Thakur, Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs and Minister of Information and Broadcasting, was the chief guest. This programme was organised in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra. Himachal Pradesh

As part of the of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’s 75th anniversary, PM Narendra Modi he announced that there will be 75 yoga demonstrations at 75 cities across India. Shoolini University in, Himachal Pradesh, was made the coordinator for Sujanpur Palace in Hamirpur in Himachal.

Students from Shoolini University’s yoga department organised the event with the help of six faculty members: Dr Subodh, Dr Mala. Dr Pawan, Ms Deepshikha, Ms Bhawna, and Mr. Satish.
