Shimla, June 3: Acting swiftly on a missing person complaint, Shimla Police successfully traced and rescued a minor girl within 24 hours of her disappearance.
According to police officials, a complaint was received at Nankhari Police Station regarding a missing minor girl. Based on the complaint, FIR No. 22/2026 dated June 1, 2026, was registered under the relevant provisions of law, and an investigation was initiated immediately.
Considering the seriousness of the case, police launched an extensive search operation. Through prompt investigation, technical analysis and other available leads, the police team located the girl safely from Nihari in Balh Tehsil of Mandi district within 24 hours.
During the investigation, it was found that the girl had left her home without informing her parents.
After completing all necessary legal formalities, the minor was safely handed over to her father.
Shimla Police said the case reflects the department’s sensitivity, prompt response and commitment towards matters concerning children and women. The district police reiterated its commitment to ensuring swift action and timely assistance to affected families in such cases.
