Shimla: In view of the upcoming Swachh Survekshan 2026, the Municipal Corporation is making continuous efforts to strengthen the city’s sanitation system. A review meeting was held in the war room under the chairmanship of Municipal Commissioner Bhupendra Kumar Attri to assess the progress of cleanliness initiatives.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Commissioner, CHO, ward in-charge officers, coordinators and sanitary inspectors. During the discussion, the commissioner sought feedback from officials regarding sanitation arrangements in their respective areas and issued necessary directions to improve the system.
Attri emphasized that all officials must work with full responsibility and coordination to ensure better performance in the cleanliness survey. He directed that garbage collection should be carried out regularly across the city and that no area should be left unclean.
While daily review meetings are being conducted in the war room to monitor the progress, ward in-charge officers have also been deployed in the field to strengthen sanitation arrangements. Officials are visiting their respective areas to inspect conditions and ensure improvements wherever required.
The Municipal Corporation aims to maintain a clean city and secure a better ranking in Swachh Survekshan 2026 through these coordinated efforts.
