Shimla, June 4
A Senior Congress leader Neeraj Bharti has resigned from the post of Vice President of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC). Bharti confirmed that he has submitted his resignation to HPCC President and MLA Vinay Kumar as well as District Congress President Anurag Thakur.
In his resignation letter dated June 4, 2026, Bharti expressed gratitude to the party leadership for entrusting him with the responsibility and said he had worked sincerely to strengthen the organization during his tenure. Citing personal reasons and unavoidable circumstances, he stated that he was unable to continue discharging his responsibilities effectively and requested the party leadership to accept his resignation.
Bharti also thanked party workers, supporters, and leaders for their cooperation and guidance, while reaffirming his respect for the Congress organization.
The resignation has sparked political discussions within Congress circles, although the party leadership has yet to issue an official response.
