Shimla, June 3:
The Himachal Pradesh Government has granted Secretary-level status to Rajeev Rana, a Member of the Himachal Pradesh State Commission for Backward Classes (OBC Commission). According to an official notification issued by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, the Chairman and Members of the State Backward Classes Commission will be governed by the same terms, conditions, facilities, and protocol as those applicable to the Chairman and Members of the State Commission for Scheduled Castes.

He reiterated his commitment to safeguarding constitutional rights, promoting social justice, and ensuring equal opportunities for the backward class community.
Rana further stated that the Commission would continue to work for the upliftment of backward classes through initiatives in education, employment, social security, and political participation, while effectively representing community concerns before the government.
