Rampur Bushahr, October 1: Rampur Hydro Power Station (Rampur HPS) organised a preventive health check-up camp for sanitation workers and other associated employees under the “Safai Mitra Suraksha Evam Samman Shivir” initiative.
The camp was held on September 30 under the leadership of Project Head, Rampur HPS, E. Vikas Marwah, in collaboration with the Ayurvedic Hospital, Rampur Bushahr, and HelpAge India. The initiative was organised as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign 2026, being observed from September 17 to October 2 under the directions of the Ministry of Power and the corporate office.
Sanitation workers associated with Rampur HPS and Jagatkhana Gram Panchayat underwent health examinations, including complete blood profile tests conducted with the support of the Ayurvedic Hospital. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits were also distributed to promote workplace safety.
Speaking on the occasion, Marwah said the primary objective of the “Safai Mitra Suraksha Evam Samman Shivir” was to promote the health, safety, welfare and dignity of sanitation workers.
The initiative also sought to sensitise workers about safe work practices, proper use of PPE and safety equipment, health precautions and available welfare facilities. Health check-ups and necessary medical advice were also provided during the camp.
The programme further focused on strengthening coordination among stakeholders to prevent occupational risks associated with sanitation work and ensure a safer working environment.
Heads of various departments, along with officers and employees of Rampur HPS, Bayal, attended the programme.
