Shimla, September 24, 2026: Sacred Heart Convent School celebrated its Annual Function ‘Triveni’ on Thursday with a vibrant showcase of India’s rich cultural heritage.
His Lordship Most Rev. Bishop Sahaya Thatheus Thomas, Bishop of the Shimla-Chandigarh Diocese, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Sister Grace, Principal of the school, was also present.
The programme began with the lighting of the Panch Deep, followed by a prayer dance, welcome song and Bishop’s Welcome Dance by students. The school’s Annual Report highlighting its achievements during the academic session was also presented.
The highlight of the celebration was a colourful presentation of Indian classical and traditional dance forms, including Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Tandav, Manipuri, Mohiniyattam, Kathakali, Sattriya, Odissi and Chhau. Students from different classes brought the diverse artistic traditions of various regions to the stage.
The programme also featured an English song, an English play by Class XI students and ‘Motherland’, a special presentation by the boys of Class XII.
The Chief Guest was felicitated and later addressed the gathering with his Words of Wisdom. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the School Anthem.
‘Triveni’ celebrated India’s unity in diversity while providing students a platform to showcase their talent, creativity and cultural awareness.
