The tournament, organized by the Himalayan Sports and Cultural Youth Society under the theme “Say No to Drugs, Play Sports,” witnessed enthusiastic participation from across the city.
A total of 42 teams representing all 34 Municipal Corporation wards of Shimla competed in the opening phase of the tournament. To ensure smooth conduct and competitive action, the teams were divided into four zones.
The organizers made special arrangements for the players, providing sports kits to all participants along with lunch and dinner throughout the event.
Following a series of closely contested matches, winners and runners-up emerged from each zone. At the closing ceremony, the four zonal champion teams were awarded cash prizes of ₹44,000 each, while the runners-up received ₹22,000 each for their performances.
