Dangal organized in Gram Panchayat Darlaghat
Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that ancient and modern sports play an important role in keeping youth away from drugs. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing a wrestling event organized by the Gram Panchayat Darlaghat of the Arki Assembly constituency last evening.
Sanjay Awasthi said that ancient games are an integral part of our rich cultural heritage. These games help develop discipline, physical fitness, and sportsmanship among youth. He urged young people to embrace traditional games and pass them on to future generations.
He said that the state government has taken various steps to attract youth to sports and keep them away from drugs. The Anti-Chitta Awareness Campaign is one such positive step. Under this campaign, youth are being made practically aware of the ill effects of drugs. They are being encouraged to take up sports and physical exercise so that they can stay away from drugs and build a brighter future.
The MLA stated that providing better health, education, road network, and other basic amenities to the residents of the area is his priority. He said that the matter of filling vacant medical and paramedical staff positions at Darlaghat Hospital in the Arki assembly constituency will be taken up at a high level. He assured that specialist doctors will soon be appointed at Darlaghat, similar to those at Arki Civil Hospital.
Sanjay Awasthi stated that the state government is working in a planned manner to encourage sports and athletes. He added that suitable land has been selected for the construction of a sports stadium in Darlaghat, and the formalities for its construction are in the final stages.
He said that shops selling self-help group products will soon be constructed in Darlaghat, Arki Assembly constituency. He said that a library for the youth will be built in Darlaghat so that they can better prepare for their future.
He announced to give Rs 31 thousand to the Dangal Committee.
On this occasion, the MLA listened to the problems of the area residents and instructed the concerned officials to ensure speedy resolution of matters related to public interest on priority basis.
