Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh High Court has designated 15 advocates as Senior Advocates with immediate effect under Section 16(2) of the Advocates Act, 1961, read with Rule 4 of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh (Designation of Senior Advocates) Rules, 2025. The notification, issued on July 10, 2026, confers the prestigious designation in recognition of the advocates’ professional standing and contribution to the legal fraternity.
The advocates designated as Senior Advocates are Ajay Chandel, Akhil Sain Chopra, Arvind Sharma, Deepak Gupta, Desh Raj, Karan Singh Kanwar, Manoj Pathak, Onkar Nath Jairath, Rahul Gupta, Ram Murti Bisht, Shubh Mahajan, Sumeet Raj Sharma, Surender Kumar Sharma, Vikas Rathore and Vikrant Thakur.
The notification has been issued by order of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh and copies have been forwarded to the Supreme Court of India, the Bar Council of India, the Bar Council of Himachal Pradesh, the High Court Bar Association and other concerned authorities for information and necessary action.
