Mandi, Solan, Sirmaur and Shimla Yellow register impressive victories at Shimla Summer Festiv
Shimla, June 9: Five exciting matches were played on the second day of the First Anti-Chitta Inter-District Volleyball Championship being organized as part of the International Shimla Summer Festival-2026.
The championship, aimed at promoting sports and spreading awareness against drug abuse, witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams representing different districts of Himachal Pradesh.
In the first match of the day, Mandi defeated Kangra by 3-0 sets. The second match saw Solan secure a convincing 3-0 victory over Kinnaur.
The third match was a closely contested encounter between Shimla Blue and Sirmaur, with Sirmaur emerging victorious by 3-2 sets.
In the fourth match, Mandi continued its winning run by defeating Kullu 3-0. The fifth and final match of the day was played between Shimla Yellow and Chamba, where Shimla Yellow registered a comfortable 3-0 victory.
The championship will continue until June 12, 2026. The winning team will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1 lakh along with the running trophy.
The tournament forms part of the broader efforts of the International Shimla Summer Festival to encourage youth participation in sports and promote the message of a drug-free society.
